How to wear a sports jacket

A sports jacket is not part of a suit just like the blazer.
Sports jackets come in a wide range of fabric colors like blues, browns, greens, and greys are common. Patterned fabrics are preferd for that type of garment like checks, plaid and houndstooth.
It is mostly made of fabrics like corduroy or tweed, even with textured weave like herringbone.
Often made with elbow patches, single breasted with 2 or 3 buttons. Patch pockets are also common on them.

Since this outfit is not formal, you can wear a jacket in colors like browns and grays, or patterns like windowpane checks and plaids. In general, keep the dominant color lighter than your jeans, and if you’re wearing blue jeans steer away from navy blue jackets.

The jeans should be close fit int the waist, hips and crotch, loose jeans are not an option.
Avoid cargo pockets and gear loops. Contrast-colored stiching and decorative stiching are a plus. You should wear a deep dark blue but a gray or black is a great color choice too.

You can wear sports jacket and jeans with a plain dark colored fitted T-shirt, a loosely folded solid patterned pocket square with canvas shoes and decorative belt.
This outfit is great for younger men, who hasn’t got to wear a suit every day, but still want to look stylish.
